His Holiness the 17th Karmapa at Kagyu Monastery in Tainan

On 28th of November His Holiness the 17th Karmapa arrived at Taipei Airport and has been warmly welcomed by Rinpoches, lamas and gathering of devotees. Gyalwa Karmapa was traditionally welcomed with a procession at Kagyu Monastery. This event initiated three days of program at Kagyu Monastery in Tainan.

The next day lamas, sponsors and devotees offered their respects and devotion through Ku Sug Tuk (body, speech and mind) offerings. His Holiness Gyalwa Karmapa offered a speech and blessing to all participants.

In the morning of 30th November Gyalwa Karmpa enshrined relics of the late Kunzig Shamar Rinpoche. Later on taught about impermanence, refuge and bestowed the empowerment of Dorje Sempa.

1st December began with audiences, later on His Holiness consecrated the whole Monastery with its beautiful Stupa and big statue of Buddha Amithaba in front of the monastery. The same day 17th Karmapa departed from Tainan to continue Taiwan Tour 2014.
