Karmapa requests his birthday to be marked by world prayers
The birthday of Thaye Dorje, His Holiness the 17th Gyalwa Karmapa, is on 6 May 2020.
This year, Karmapa has requested the day be dedicated to prayers for our world.
In a small traditional ceremony at Karmapa International Buddhist Institute (KIBI) in Delhi, 500 butter lamps were lit today.
