His Holiness Karmapa presided over the Chakrasambava Puja held at the Nedo Kagyu Buddhist Center in Manila

Manila, Puja

On the 7th of June, His Holiness Karmapa presided over the Chakrasambava Puja held at the Nedo Kagyu Buddhist Center in Manila. Dorje Lopon Nedo Rinpoche, the host of all of the programs held in Manila, was in attendance, having spent the entire night prior to the event with the lamas of his center making the preparations for this elaborate puja, which included an intricately designed sand mandala. Gasps could be heard from the massive gathering of devotees when the sand mandala was finally brushed away by the seemingly unaffected monastic sangha towards the end of the ceremony, a true testament of non-attachment, selfless generosity and the truth of impermanence.

After the puja, His Holiness awarded all the people who had participated in the organizing and supervision of the events held in manila with tokens of gratitude and appreciation.

At the end of the day, all in attendance were welcomed to join His Holiness Karmapa at the Aloha Hotel for a farewell dinner.

The human heart, Bodhicitta, is the most precious of all. While Buddhas are helpful in life, the compassionate heart is even more precious than a Buddha. In the human heart, we see limitless hope.
