Gyalwa Karmapa arrived at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre to start the day’s activities which, besides the preparations for the empowerment, included an interview with journalists from several newspapers. The empowerment started about 6 in the evening and ended after midnight. The convention hall was filled with 2.200 people attending.

In the press conference held shortly after his arrival with the presence of over 10 Rinpoches and a group of lama. His Holiness has told the media that he is happy to accept the invitation of the local disciples to visit Hong Kong. He was pleased to have the occasion to meet with all the devotees and those who worked hard to make this event happened.
